Opening Doors: Inspiring Kenyan Graduates To Explore Work Opportunities In Japan

On June 17th, MOL Shipping (Kenya) Ltd. had the pleasure of participating in the ABE Initiative (*) Networking Event, organized by JICA—and it was a resounding success.
One of our own team members took the stage to present our current flagship project: “Kenyan Workers to Japan.”

The project sparked genuine interest from the attendees, many of whom scanned the QR code we provided to learn more and sign up on the spot. With many more seeking extensive information about the project after the presentations. It was incredibly encouraging to see such enthusiasm and curiosity from Kenyans eager to explore career opportunities abroad.

The event brought together ABE Initiative graduates, who shared their personal success stories after studying in Japan. Hearing how their experiences transformed their careers and lives gave us renewed hope and motivation. Their journeys were a testament to the transformative power of international education and reminded us of the potential impact this project can have—not just for individuals, but for both countries involved; Kenya and Japan.

Listening to these stories filled us with hope for the future of the Kenyan workers we send to Japan. We envision them not only gaining valuable skills and experiences but also returning with stories of growth, innovation, and success—perhaps even greater than those shared at the event. This event helped reinforced that vision. We are hopeful that the workers we support today will return with skills, experiences, and networks that will fuel long-term growth—both personally, professionally and even help grow their own country.

Kenya is expected to continue being an important investment destination and base country for foreign companies. Facilitating the smooth movement of personnel is a crucial theme supporting corporate growth and governance. MOL Logistics Nairobi Branch, together with its partners, will contribute to creating an environment where people can move with peace of mind, alleviating concerns associated with relocation. Please feel free to contact us for consultations regarding overseas moving to or from Kenya.
